We have a variety of ministries to accomplish these goals:

Nursery  ( to age 2 )– Sunday mornings  10:00am – 12:15pm

KIDDS’ Church (JK to Gr. 2) – Sunday mornings 10:00am – 11:10am

Sunday School (All ages) - Sunday mornings11:15am – 12:10pm

KIDDS’ Choir (Gr. 1 - Gr. 6) – Sunday afternoons 4:00pm – 5:00pm

KIDDS’ with Purpose (JK – Gr. 6) - Wednesdays 6:45 – 8:00pm

Vacation Bible Club (All) – Don't be so eager. Wait for next summer!

All volunteers in our KIDDS’ Ministry go through screening process including a Criminal Information Check.  Training workshops are provided yearly.  Policies and procedures are in place and supervisors oversee all programs.

KIDDS’ Church takes place every Sunday during the main service.  It is a Worship service designed specifically for children in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 2. It provides them an opportunity to worship and know God, learn, enjoy fellowship, serve, and share in an environment suited to them.

KIDDS' with Purpose is a ministry where children learn about God,themselves, and their community so that they can serve in practical ways.

From an early age children want to help, learn and be involved.  This program will provide opportunities for children to learn practical skills, become aware of their community, learn about God and serve others.

This ministry is for children from Jr. Kindergarten through to and including Grade 6.  Our program is made up of different electives offered for each grade level.  Some of the electives that have been offered in the past are cooking, drama, crafts, sports, etc.  If you'd like a glimpse into KIDDS with purpose, or like to learn about registration, click the police car or here.

KIDDS With Purpose runs in the fall through the spring.

At certain times of the year, Westney Heights offers a “KIDDS’ Choir” for children in grades 1-6.  Our goal is to provide a positive and exciting environment where praising God and doing our best for Him is the focus.  We meet on Sunday afternoons at 4:00.

In the past, we have had a variety of opportunities to sing:

Every song we sing is intended to praise God, help us memorize a Bible verse, or teach us a Biblical truth.  It is our desire that those truths are planted in children’s hearts and minds, and will be played over and over again!  We also enjoy lots of activities that teach both musical skills (notes, expression, rhythm) and non-musical skills (commitment, being part of a group).

The KIDDS' Choir performed with the Celebration Choir, for their Christmas Cantata, Jesus, No Other Name.  (you can get a glimpse of the excitement from the rehersal photo to the right) We even sang Latin!  We sang 3 songs on December 17th at 6:30 pm.  It was a lot of fun.  Click the photo to the right for more!




In April of 2007, the KIDDS' Choir presented two performances of Esther-Ordinary Faith.  The story of a girl who became a great queen, through her example of faith we can learn a lot about Who holds the future, how to become God's child and how to trust Him.

In May of 2007, we had a chance to visit Ballycliffe with Pastor Jack and minister to the seniors there.  We had an awesome time meeting such nice people and singing for them. 

The residents really enjoyed the music and talking with us.
